Mary Ann's Message
A glazing method for watercolorists helps in the production of colorful
paintings. One of my readers requested a lesson in glazing and I have just
created a video of the process. So many people have said that a video of the
process is more helpful than words and pictures. So I plan to do more of this in
the future.
Many artists glaze select portions of their painting, one at a time. My method
is different and it is shown on my video. I do not draw my image first, and then
glaze each section. There are some beautiful paintings done with transparent
glazing by sections. I am not saying that my way is the only way, but it offers
an option that allows more freedom in the painting process.
I have written a page on my tips site
explaining how and why I use glazing for effect. I hope that you will find
this interesting and also very helpful.
May all your paintings be PASSIONATE!
