Abstract Watercolor

In abstract watercolor painting, artistic content
depends on color and design rather than pictorial representation. It should
depict an emotion or stir up an emotion within the viewer. There are some
beautiful works out there, but when I have done abstract painting, the customer
wants one to match his couch. UGH! That is really a test!
It is difficult
because it takes away the freedom of the artist to produce something that sets a
fire in his soul. But, I have done a few. I never know if they would pass muster
with my contemporaries that paint in this style.
That said, there are many beautiful abstract works that have made history, and
have adorned public places as well as beautiful homes. I am leaving this page
for my “abstract” friends, or anyone who would like to upload your images and
your feelings about the work.

Just follow the instructions below and
you can share your abstract thoughts and works. While you cannot include HTML
(i.e., hyperlinks, etc), if you include a reference I will make sure the
link to your site, or email address, is contained in your submission.
