Alpaca With An Attitude

Did this for a friend from a photo I took at a festival.
My friend is a knitter and fell in love with alpacas.
I was trying to loosen up a little and make the wool look soft.

You did a good job. I like the blending of the background from dark to light to emphasize the shape of the alpaca's neck. Next time, try painting the white animal with a white background and avoid edges. Let the white of the animal blend into the white of the background. (Lost edges....ever heard that term?) The shadows in the shape of the alpaca will train the viewer's eye to see it. This is just a suggestion for an exercise in painting.
