Trees - an abstract study

This watercolor was developed using masking tape. Analogous colors were chosen for better visual effect so as to place them adjacently without creating too large a contrast. Your comments would be gratefully received.

Forest Fire Round 3

Keeping the helpful comments of Mary Ann, I have reworked this painting. The original entitled "Forest Fire" was painted a little earlier to the unfortunate tragedy of the forest fire in Australia.
I dedicate this as remembrance to those who had suffered during this tragedy: humans, birds, animals and the trees of the forest. What a destruction to the wealth and life Nature had lovingly created.

Thank you Mary Ann for your constructive and focused comments on my last two submissions. I have become bold with your support and have ventured into the negative space with some details this time.

As I started working on the negative space, these shapes emerged to give me a title to this painting. I confess that I did not start to paint this theme but it just got developed as I worked on. Very fascinating experience indeed!
