Apr 20, 2009 Rating Landscape 1 by: Mary Ann What colors are normal? As far as the painting goes, I would need to see stronger trees in the foreground, more dramatic lights and darks. The hills in the background should be paler and the foreground should have more detail (stronger colors. Everything in this piece is of medium to light value. Values are very important in a successful painting. You can still pull this one out of the woods.
