Thank you mary ann,the cross after the background. i intended it to be faint. thank you for the advice i shall try that. :)

Melanie,
Many artists don't have the courage to use as much water and as much color as you in the background of a painting. Congratulations, but your subject is underdeveloped. Try some negative painting to bring out your subject after you have established the background.
