Linda,
You are doing great with your colorful washes. When painting lily pads try to remember that horizontal surfaces receive more light than vertical ones. Therefore they should be very reflective of the light that hits them. They have more yellow in them and if some of them are wet or partialy submerged they might have some of the sky color in them. Keep up the good work!
