Irises revisited

Keeping Mary Ann's suggestions in mind, I did a little more shading on this painting. I am pleased with the results because the darker colors make a nicer background. Because I lack experience I am reluctant to darken the background any further for fear of losing the airy look of transparent watercolors. In my next flower painting I will hopefully be more daring in the use of stronger and darker colors which I love. Thanks for the suggestions Mary Ann!
