Pouring is a technique where you actually pour paint straight onto your paper, letting colors mix on paper. You save whites or areas of detail with a water resist medium like maskit. Sometimes you repour and remask several times to get desired depth or color. Check out other artists like Jean Gastorf or Nita Engle to see examples of this technique.

I particularly like the depth created by the pale colors in the background and the intensifying of detail and colors in the foreground. Congratulations.

I really like your painting. I have both of his books, and am a big fan of pouring. You did an excellent job.

Peaceful
by: Betty

I love the colour harmony and the sense of peace I get when I look at your painting. The trees are particularly striking for me; I can look at them for a long time because there's so much to see. Great job.
