Rolling hills, mountainous, rows of Cypress trees winding up the hills beside the roads, grape vineyards, and fields of poppies! All ancient villages are poised at the top of the peaks, surrounded by walls. The vintners live in homes atop the hills on their acres of property so that they might view their vineyards for 360º.
