More about painting birds in watercolor

by Dorothy Sherer

I would like to learn more about painting birds into my paintings, either in flight or in a tree. Just can not seem to get the right touch.

Thank You

painting birds
by: Mary Ann

Dorothy,
Will be happy to help you in class this week. When I was first learning to paint, and would accidentally drop a little blob of paint in the sky, my teacher told me just to add some wings and call it a bird. It worked! I will show you how. BTW, I also have a book at the studio, I think, that has lots of birds in it that you can work from.
