Brian, I will try to do that for you, but requests for subjects are rolling in so fast that I can hardly meet the demand. I am really not a portrait artist, but I can give you some tips concerning color and application soon.
Color will depend on the subject of course. If the person is a blonde, the complexion is fair, and the colors used need to be fairly transparent. If the complexion is more ruddy, you could delve into the more opaque pigments.

Everyone's complexion is filled with reflected light from adjacent sources, so don't be afraid to use green, blue, red, purple in the skin tones. And NEVER buy a tube of color that says "flesh". No one's flesh is the same color.
I will try to make a short video to illustrate the procedure that I use when painting character studies soon.
