My 2nd favorite mixture

by Rj
(Chagrin Falls)

I have recently started a new painting of abstract flowers and I have found the perfect mixture. It is holbein opera mixed with daniel smith hansa yellow med. and it creates a nice bright vibrant peachy pinkish orange. I love and hope you do too, let me know what you think.

Nice post NEW

You posted a question which actually related to 2nd favorite mixture. I think you understand her son very well than anyone else. when you think that time is suitable then you tell his father in a good way. You don't worry about her son.

I wouldn't use Hansa yellow - I love Quin Gold. Perfect colour to mix with Opera, or a blue for a gorgeous green!

I luv it! thanks so much But what I want to know is what is your first fav color? I created a new mixture that I call "pool pump" blue. Unfortunately I forgot the mix and cannot seem to get it right again

I've recently discovered Quinacridone Sienna, which is a great color too. Too bad you don't have a pic of one of your paintings with that mixture here. I'd like to see it.

Thank you for the great color tip. I will have to get some of that Hansa Yellow and try mixing it with my Opera. I love that color you say it makes.
Terrific tip...thank you...GG

Rj, I love Opera but I use Quinacridone Gold with it. The mixture is more transparent that way. However I also use Hansa Yellow. It is very vivid. Glad you are trying colors that suit you.
