Jun 18, 2009 Rating Out of Africa by: MARY ANN You are oh so right in waiting before you destroy a painting. Cropping for design and effect works well! Many people tape the edges of the paper so that they will have a nice clean border when they are finished, but if the painting isn't designed well, and you crop it, there are no more white edges! Since I learned this 30 years ago, I haven't taped the edges again!
