Painting Reflections

by John W. Walker
(New Freedom, PA, USA)

I am struggling with painting water reflections. I've tried about all I can think of but still don't get anything that to me looks like a reflection.

Currently working on bare tree reflections along a lake. Please include a demonstration or tips on this in your newletter. Thanks so much.

Painting Reflections

John, I will try to do a little painting for you soon. Been terribly busy, but in the meantime, some things to remember.
Light colored objects are slightly darker in a reflection,
Dark objects are slightly lighter, and Mid-tone objects are much the same.
Until then.....I hope this helps.
