Apr 25, 2009 Rating Soon Gone by: Mary Ann Never put flowers in the foreground, especially if they are growing out of the bottom of the page, when you have important subject matter in the painting. They would only detract from the subject. Sometimes this can be done if you really know what you are doing. If you do, they should lead the eye into the subject matter.
