I have done over 1000 watercolour ranging from Films stars, other artists and even politicians. This is one I have done a few years ago I did this paint when the last Kennedy died Edward I’m not an American but painted it for a friend.

Does that mean I have to ask permission for everything I see? as I painted this portrait after seeing many different TV news reports and yes Photo’s at no time did I use the photographers photo to copy the image perfectly as my painting is an impression of want I see not a copy. Is copyright the image or the idea in someones head.

I hope that you are not selling these, as you are taking a chance of being sued by the companies or photographers who have taken these photos. If you want to do portraits of famous figures you must take your own photos or purchase the rights to these from the original artists.
