Dear My Artist Friends,

One evening , I couldn't think out which subject I have to draw and finally I saw these things from the kitchen when I drunk water . And then put it on the table and drew it at the night time with florescent light.

I've used << lemon yellow , medium yellow , violet , ultramarine blue and three kinds of red watercolor in this picture >> . Please see my painting .

Thanks For watching ,

Than Tun Oo

You did an excellent job in painting these objects, but you should consider design when you put a still life together. Subjects should overlap and the white space around them should be interesting. Make sure that the design goes off the edges of the paper on at least three sides. If the shadows are strong enough, they, too, can be a part of the design. Also the shadows should have some of the color of the object in them (that is called reflected light). Keep up the good work. One of my instructors told me "If you can't think of something to paint, paint what is left over from breakfast." Finding things around the kitchen is a great idea.

More veggies please
by: Lynne

I would have loved to see those luscious vegetables piled up together and have them fill the page. Thank you for letting us see your work!
