Some things you do will teach you how to refine your work in the future. There are NO mistakes, only lessons. Persistence, practice and perseverance are the keys to learning and honing your skills. No one gets to the top without a lot of wastage. Good works don’t come easily. They don’t necessarily take so much talent. They take determination and desire. I always say to my students, “Success is 95% desire, and 5% talent. And I believe that to be true. Have you ever written an article or a book that didn’t require many efforts of proofing? Over and over, this must be done to get it right. “Add this, subtract that, reword this, correct the typo”, etc. How many paintings have you done that were perfect the first time around? Actually it is good to ruin a few, start over with the same image and keep in mind the mistakes to avoid. They are much better the second time or third time around. Ways to get there!
