This is another technique used on Yupo. I wanted to see how salt and alcohol would affect the paint.

While the colors were wet, I sprinkled salt on the surface, and squirted some rubbing alcohol on it also. The effect was dramatic...moreso than on normal watercolor paper. The the colors remain brilliant, and the edges are quite distinct.

This reminds me of galaxies of stars, and also of creatures under the sea.

Gotta Try Yupo

I have never tried using Yupo paper and have seen it advertised many times. Seeing your artwork on it will make me order some soon. I will send you the results. I only stop and look at abstract that is colorful,well balanced and textured well. I am like you I like to imagine what I see it is. To me it looks like the water's surface at the second fireworks hit the water at a fireworks show.
