When I use watercolor for abstract something goes wrong....

I love sketching mostly, but I have tried abstracts in acrylic and tonight
I tried in watercolors...but for some reason it turned out dull

Can you tell me what I need to do?

When you use a wet in wet technique while using greens (which are staining) and you mix them with any color that has red in it, the results can become muddy.

Try painting the lightest and brightest first....perhaps the red....then wetting the rest of the page and painting the greens.
