Upper Emerald Pool

This is a painting I did on 300 lb Arches. We had visited this area in the spring and it took us 2 hours to hike to the pool. You can see more of my work at www.donnapierceclark.com

YOUR BRILLIANT COLORS
by: Mary Ann Boysen

Donna, I love the use of colors in this painting. I remember one time that someone brought me a fabric these colors in it and wanted me to paint "to match their couch"...I didn't think it would work, but it did, and I learned something. Those colors work well together. The colors that decorators use are well researched and come from a company in Holland about five years before they "hit the market". All paint colors, mat board choices, fabric colors are decided for us years in advance of our knowing about them. It keeps people redecorating their homes!
Keep up the good work, and thanks for your submission!
